My theory is that the average stylist learns how to cut several cookie-cutter hairstyles, and you get one of those whatever your face shape. The talented stylist can look at your face and cut your hair freestyle to flatter your looks. I once told my stylist that she “sculpts” my hair. That’s what the best stylists do.

Fri, 21 Aug 2015 11:54:14 +0000http://jolanamalkston.com/?p=810#comment-809I was afraid of stylists for years. Every time my mom would take me to get it done as a teen, we’d go to Regis at Crossroads Mall in Portage and they would consistently–every. single. time.–make me look like Shirley Temple. I love little Shirley to pieces, but that ‘do did not go well with my 1990’s high school uniform of bellbottom jeans, grunge t-shirts and purple velvet combat boots. I would have probably preferred to look like the girl in the picture up there. Glad you had great results! 🙂
