He heard a tape of a talk I gave and made me listen to how many times I said ah. Such as, “ah, when you write a sentence…ah, you need to…ah…” I won’t say I’m cured, but I have cut the ers and ahs down. You know?

I hear it especially when people need to think. Their think time is punctuated by ummm. and well’s. I hope that this will soon stop but I fear the even worse, shortening of words… yes there is a new plague. It’s where they drop the “g” in words. Stoppin, goin, gettin, etc. You can see how that’s another problem. 🙂
