My sister and I both share a quirky sense of humor. You should see some of our emails and text messages. π Our dad was a very funny guy. I guess she and I inherited our sense of humor from Dad, and we certainly passed his humor on to our sons. Some of their Facebook posts are hilarious. I keep telling my younger son he should write a topical humor blog. He keeps us all in stitches with his comical rants about everyday life. π
]]>You just gave me something scary to think about that I didn’t think about at the time. We were in that motel room for three days before the scorpion surfaced. I never considered that it might already have been in the room before we checked in. I guess I was still getting over the shock and my mind didn’t want to go there. Frankly, it doesn’t want to go there now either or I’ll start having nightmares again. π
]]>I don’t know about being brave. I really didn’t have much choice. I had to remain conscious or else. π The incident took on a whole new meaning for me when I mentioned it at an MMRWA meeting a few years ago. One of the members said the small white scorpions like the one in my motel room are deadlier than the larger dark scorpions that we usually see in nature films. I got goosebumps all over again. =:-0
]]>I had no idea there were scorpions in Missouri either. The desk clerk at the motel told me they found a few scorpions before. They believed the scorpions hitchhiked in the autos and baggage belonging to visitors from the southwestern US. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but I just couldn’t picture myself packing a suitcase and not noticing a scorpion in it. ::shudder::
]]>You truly are a brave woman. I would have lost it majorly and given the hotel a piece of my mind. Congrats on being a survivor. π
