He still hasn’t taken down the strings of Christmas lights he put up around the doorways and windows inside in our family room. We no longer light them, we stopped about two years ago, but there they are and there they probably will stay. I doubt he can muster the ambition to take them all down, and no way will I do it.

Spoiling grandchildren all year long is lots of fun, but it’s the most fun at Christmas. You’re going to love it. 🙂

Thanks for stopping in, and have a very Merry Christmas.

Our under stairs Curmudgeon Christmas Tree may be the only Christmas decoration we own by next year. Macho Guy is making noise about giving away the three large plastic tubs filled with Christmas decorations that we don’t use any more. It will mark the end of an era for us, I think.

Thanks for dropping in and a Merry Christmas to you!

Hubby does all the decorations and less is more! I love the lights but hate the putting up and taking down. Maybe it’s understanding that we are the ones that have to do all the work, that changes it from fun to a chore.

Someday, I’ll have grandchildren and I can’t wait to spoil them at Christmas. This year, I bought for my teaching partners’ children. I love to find gifts that make a child’s face light up!

You really are a curmudgeon! Your solution for the tree is one Hubs’ aunt used to do, only she put hers on her screened porch. Until the management of her condo changed and the residents couldn’t leave anything on their porches. Talk about curmudgeons.

I sometimes go out to one or two stores but never the big ones that seem to incite brawls now. I still like to decorate in my house but don’t go overboard. I just like to look at the cute little things I’ve collected over the years. My tree this year is a small one with fiber optic lights. I’d prefer the bigger one with all the ornaments but two naughty little cats would probably make short work of it. Christmas is really what you feel in your heart and spending time with loved ones. All the other is just extra stuff.
