The talking heads at the countdown try too hard and end up babbling trite phrases while grinning ever so broadly. The entertainment, such as it is, features rock groups and solo acts that folks our age don’t recognize and would just as soon tune out. It takes perseverance and fortitude to remain awake long enough to watch the ball drop.

New Year’s Eve this year is a mixed bag. Thanks to the MSU v Alabama game, my Macho Guy is still awake at 11:25 a.m. on December 31st. Will wonders never cease? That’s the upbeat part. This downer is that MSU is being crushed by Alabama. 🙁

Hubby was an auto insurance adjuster and saw the many accident victims so he knows to stay off the road. No grilled flesh for us but we usually do a snacky dinner (crackers, cheese, dips)…. It’s fun and sometimes the kids come over too! I wish you a wonderful New Year!!
