Don’t do it, I beg of you. Don’t make any New Year’s resolutions. They are malevolent, the kiss of death. You’ll be sorry if you–oh. You did already? Too bad. The harder you try, the harder it will be to keep them.
This post was inspired by a Christmas gift from a good friend who knows of my admiration for and fascination with Wonder Woman, the first female superhero and my childhood idol. Wonder Women was an Amazon princess—Princess Diana—who came to America in 1941 to fight injustice and right wrongs. She eventually fought the Nazis as well.
The snow did not wait for the first day of winter to arrive. Not surprising. This is Michigan, after all.

Today is the 75th Anniversary of the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese during World War II. President Franklin D. Roosevelt called December 7, 1941 “a day that will live in infamy.” From what I’ve seen watching the History Channel’s presentation of new film shot during the war, I believe he was correct. I’m worried.
Normally, any technological advancement sends me into a swoon. I was in ecstasy when I test drove the Ford Edge I eventually bought because it spoke to me. Majel, that’s what I named her, is equipped with a talking computer. I speak to Majel and she replies. I give Majel commands and she complies. Driving Majel the Edge is almost like driving KITT, the Knight Rider car. ::sigh::
